Compliance Center
BuyerReact is a marketplace for paid product research conversations — not procurement influence. These rules apply to every vendor and participant on the platform, and exist to protect participants from exploitation and employers from leakage.
• Structured product feedback and discovery sessions
• Messaging, workflow, and category research
• Persona and buyer-journey interviews with non-prospects
• Compensation as cash, charity donation, or professional development credit
• Payment in exchange for purchase, recommendation, or vendor selection
• Sharing confidential employer information, internal documents, or pricing
• Sessions tied to an active RFP, procurement evaluation, or buying committee
• Misrepresenting authority to buy or to introduce
• Participation by government, regulated healthcare, or financial-regulated employees without explicit policy clearance
Every paid session is covered by BuyerReact's Mutual Research NDA, which both vendor and participant accept at booking. It is purpose-limited to the research conversation itself.
What the NDA covers
• Vendor → participant: unreleased product plans, roadmap, pricing models, and any pre-launch materials shown during the session.
• Participant → vendor: the participant's identity, employer, opinions, and the contents of the conversation. Vendors may publish aggregated, de-identified insights only.
What the NDA does NOT cover
• Information the participant is already prohibited from sharing by their employer (trade secrets, internal financials, customer data, source code, security details). Participants must not disclose these regardless of the NDA — the NDA is not a license to leak.
• Public information, or information independently known to either party.
Vendors requiring a custom NDA must request it before the session is booked. Participants may decline any session that introduces additional legal terms after booking.
Paid research can be misused to extract free labor, sales access, or proprietary information from a participant. BuyerReact enforces hard limits to prevent this.
• Time is capped and paid. Sessions cannot exceed the booked duration. Vendors who request "just five more minutes" are in violation; participants are paid for the full booked slot regardless.
• No unpaid follow-ups. Vendors cannot use the session to schedule unpaid calls, demos, or pilots. Any continued engagement must be a new booked session with its own payout.
• No deliverables. Participants are paid for their experience and opinions — not to produce documents, designs, code, or reviewable work product.
• No prospecting. Vendors may not contact participants outside the platform, add them to marketing lists, or pitch them after the session. Detected violations result in vendor suspension and a full refund of the participant's payout.
• Right to end early. Participants can end a session at any time for any reason — including discomfort, off-topic pressure, or requests for restricted information — and still receive full payment.
• Disallowed-employer exclusions. Participants set categories of vendor they will not take sessions from (competitors, current employer, etc.) and our matcher honors them.
• Power asymmetry checks. When a participant's seniority is materially lower than the vendor's evaluator request, we flag the match and disclose the dynamic to both parties before booking.
